Although much open space on campus is park-like in character, there is also a strong tradition of including smaller garden spaces as important punctuations in the campus landscape. These range from intimate walled gardens offering a quiet respite, to an unexpected burst of colorful flowers at a busy intersection.
Completed restoration projects include: Prospect Garden, Wyman Garden, Hibben Garden and the Art Museum Garden. Dulles Garden, near Firestone Library, is planned for the future.
